Additionally, we will be providing guides and activities that will help you and your family grow in your faith while building lasting biblical habits. All the challenges (and more) will be listed here over the course of the next year leading up to Bring Your Bible to School Day in 2022!

You can change the world by sharing Christ’s love one person at a time. One of the best ways to do that is by serving and encouraging others.

Let’s see what the Bible says.

Live It Challenge: The Importance of Resting and Giving Rest

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

Many people see rest as unnecessary or unimportant. It’s easy to get so wrapped up in school, sports, friendships, games, work, and the holidays that we forget to rest. The world keeps us so busy that we often neglect to return to our very needed source of rest and peace. But what exactly is rest and how do we do it well? Take our November Live It Challenge and find out!

Biblical Pursuit: The Joy of A Servant Heart

Serving others is not easy, especially those who we don’t relate to, or get along with. With a culture that is divided on almost everything, genuine love and service for others is a rare occurrence. Even Christians, who ought to be known for our love, are hesitant to serve. How do we fight these sinful thoughts and cultivate a servant’s heart?

Live It Challenge: A Guide to Scripture Memory and Applying it to Your Faith

Regardless of whether you have grown up Christian, or are a completely new believer, it is important to understand that the Bible is vital to your life. It is the living and active Word of God that speaks to us and through us. It helps us learn about who God is and what He has done. Also, the Bible is used to teach, correct, and train all believers in righteousness (2 Timothy, 3:16-17).

The Bible is God’s truth that cannot be changed and will never fade away (John 17:17Isaiah 40:8). When we are unsure or doubting, the Bible is a guide for us (Psalm 119:9). But did you know that the Bible is also a weapon – the Sword of the Spirit, in fact? Check out this challenge on how you can use Scripture memorization to equip the Sword of the Spirit for spiritual battles!

Biblical Pursuit: Sharing Your Faith with Others and How to Evangelize

At the end of Matthew 28, Jesus tells his followers, “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” He tells us the same thing too!

Evangelism is a crucial step of obedience to God in His call to go and make disciples. It all begins with the simple message of the gospel. The call to repent and believe in Jesus. Evangelism is an act of love and obedience to God who calls us to go into the world and share. So, here are some ways you can get started evangelizing and sharing your faith.

Live It Challenge: Engage in the Bible with Adventures in Odyssey

We’re told that “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17, ESV).

The importance of reading God’s Word is clear, and it’s a crucial habit for every Christian to build. So, how do we do that? Well, a personal devotional time is a good place to start. But beyond that, there are many ways we can engage with Scripture. In fact, you may not have heard of one such method, but it’s found many times in the Bible: the public reading of Scripture.

Biblical Pursuit: How to Start (or Contribute to) a Successful Bible Study

How do you start a group Bible study? Or how do you contribute to one you’ve just joined? Bible studies are a fantastic opportunity for Christian fellowship and spiritual growth. Biblical Pursuit: Commit to a Quiet Time

In order to be consistent with your quiet, you need three things: a Time, a Place, and a Plan.

Time

This is pretty self-explanatory! If you are going to commit to a consistent quiet time to read your Bible, you need, well, time. Every relationship requires time to grow and flourish. It’s the same with your relationship with God.

Find at least 15 minutes in the day that you can use for your quiet time. It could be in the morning, at lunch, or before bed. Whatever you choose, stick to it! If you don’t have a set time for a quiet time, it can be easy to forget.

Place

An important part of a consistent quiet time is having a set place where you have it! You need a place where you can be alone with God without worrying about distractions or interruptions.

The best part about deciding where you have your quiet time is that it’s completely up to you. You could have your quiet time in the backyard, a closet, or even a tent! Make it a fun, special place where you spend time with God.

Plan

Finally, to get the most out of your quiet time, you need to have a plan of action! Choose a book of the Bible to read through, one chapter at a time, and then reflect on God’s words to you. Or choose a devotion that you think would be interesting.

The main thing is to know what you’re trying to accomplish, so you can stay motivated and consistent. If you don’t know where to start, read through the Gospel of John to hear the words of Jesus and then read about the adventures of the early church in Acts!

Giving up Sugar, Tasting God's Goodness

As a latchkey kid, Wendy Speake turned to sugar for comfort. Every Friday, she would pedal to the candy show and use her allowance to fill her bag with candy. And one day, when she was older and a mom of three young boys, she came to realize that she was still “pedaling” away from her stress and using sugar as comfort, instead of turning to Jesus. She was joyless, worn out, tired, and in need of a change. In this interview, Wendy will challenge Christians to take 40 days to focus on fasting from something they turn to instead of Jesus for comfort. She invited people to break free from a dependence on sugar and taste the goodness of God.
